- : available only from individuals. I've seen the list of programs on one of
- : these, and basically it was all illegal (de-protected commercial games for
- : the most part).

- Hecubus (wglenn@utkux1.utk.edu) then said:

- : Don't listen to this. The High Voltage CD is unbelievable. Write me
- : and I'll email a file which describes its contents. BTW, if you are
- : quick to judge any person who is willing to copy a ten year old piece

- : and software closeout dealers, then please also make it publically
- : know that you share the same feelings towards anyone who uses an C64
- : emulator (at least C64S or PC64) which are distributed with copyright
- : protected ROM's.
-
- And I say:
- I agree with Hecubus on here I think. If you are going to worry about
- copyrights on old games then the C64 Kernel, Basic and Character ROM's are
- all (c) 1982 and since there are still (maybe) possible (sort of) plans to
- make new C64's by Escom we can assume that the (c) will be more rigourously
- enforced than say Ocean, EA or the others.
-
- Oh, if you are wondering I have the High Voltage CD and it IS brilliant!
- I found one of my demos and two of my games on there!! I was SO pleased
- cos I took the crack of one of them, removed the trainer and intro and I'm
- trying to sell the now NTSC fixed copy to a US company!!
-
- BTW if anyone from Onslaught/Hardcore are reading, when you cracked Warflame
- (by me... Bigtime Software is now part of Cosine Systems!) you fucked the
- loading pic up!! Never mind, when I get the new version (like the release
- one) ready it'll be corrected..!
-
- Jason (T.M.R/C0SiNE) who's too knackered to load his .signature file!
